YEAR 6 - ENERGY AND SUSTAINABILITY
Thursday, 11 September 2014 14:29
To conclude our Term 3 unit on Energy and Sustainability, the Year 6 children will be hosting a ‘Sustainable Houses Expo’ on Tuesday 16th September between 3:00pm- 4:00pm in the gym foyer.

A number of weeks have been spent researching, planning, designing and building a sustainable house. The children have taken into account a number of factors when building their house, for example, its orientation, insulation, heating and cooling, energy efficient appliances, water storage and usage, just to name a few.

With these factors in mind, the Year 6 children have worked cooperatively in groups to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the ways in which we can contribute to a sustainable future.

Hope to see you there.

PREP TO GRADE TWO CROSS COUNTRY
Thursday, 11 September 2014 14:28

The postponed Prep to Grade 2 Cross Country will be held on Tuesday, September 16, on the school oval. We will be starting the event at 2pm (straight after lunch) and would love for parents/guardians to come down and cheer the kids on.

Children will be required to dress in their house colours on the day, teachers will advise students of their colours prior to the event.

Children in Grade 2 will be running 2 laps of the oval while children in Grade 1 and Prep will be running 1 lap. As all Prep children have already ran their race only the finals will be ran on this day however it would be great to have all of the Preps supporting their classmates wearing their house colours.

We hope to see you there and we wish all children the best of luck.
