The staff and parents of Viewbank Primary School have a strong commitment to creating a school environment which values caring for each other, respect and responsibility. We are also focused on enhancing the strong partnership between the home and school. We strive to develop each individual child's potential in all curriculum areas. We also emphasise the development of resilience in children through participation in a myriad of experiences promoting confidence, persistence, organisation, and getting along.

CHESS TOURNAMENT
Thursday, 18 September 2014 15:07
We had a huge Chess Tournament here last Thursday, when Viewbank PS hosted a zonal tournament involving 134 players. When the points were tallied at the end of the day we finished 4th overall with Mitchell Fleskens (10th), Tommy Selwyn (12th) and Shaw Gale (13th) being the best performed. Congratulations to all for taking part, to Gill Nicholls for filling in for me as the ‘welcoming party’ on behalf of the host school, and to Mal Norman for setting up on the day.

VOTE FOR VBPS TO HELP US GET GROWING!
Wednesday, 17 September 2014 09:25
We have nominated to receive a grant of $5000 to go towards developing our Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Program. The program involves students growing, harvesting and preparing food from our very own kitchen garden, where they will learn about sustainability and nutrition. The grant is awarded to the project with the most votes. Go to  www.competitions.backtoearth.vic.gov.au and click on vote! Please share - the more votes, the better! You can vote for us multiple times, but only one time each day.
