These will be distributed on the last day of this term, with parent/teacher interviews scheduled for early in Term 3. These interviews will be organised via the online booking system as has been used in recent years with great efficiency.
With the change in curriculum from VELS to Australian Curriculum, new domains (or subjects) are being introduced over the next three years. Some of the domains have the same names and dimensions (now called strands), whereas other domain and strand names have changed. There is no direct translation between the old domains and the new domains, even if they have the same name.
The four domains assessed and reported on in 2013 using the Australian Curriculum are English, Mathematics, Science and The Humanities - History.
2014 introduces the domains of The Arts, Languages and The Humanities - Geography.
2015 introduces the rest of the domains - Business and Economics, Health and Physical Education, Civics and Citizenship and Technology.
Further details will be provided in upcoming weeks, and certainly with the reports, to describe the subtle changes to the reports your child receives in 2013. |
