The second performances of ‘Science Is Awesome’ took place on Monday and Tuesday night of this week. Over 1650 people saw one or more of the concerts which were a credit to all involved. As I repeated over the four nights, a venture such as the School Concert is a massive undertaking with planning having started virtually when the last concert finished in 2013. The theme was awesome, and the creative geniuses of Ruth Panaccio and Renee Davey combined to put on a production second to none. To the staff who supported the productions in one way or another heartfelt thanks, to our loyal parent helpers and other support staff (especially Catherine Harvey and Florence Panaccio), we are indebted to your expertise and sheer hard work, and to the talented students of Viewbank PS thank you!

Bon Voyage to Suzanne Kot who is taking the first four weeks of Term 4 on Long Service Leave to travel overseas. We wish her a safe and exciting trip. Gill Nicholls will be Acting Assistant Principal whilst Suzanne is on leave. Peter Walker will be taking Gill’s class whilst she is in this role. We also welcome Robbie Muljana to our school in Term 4. Robbie will take over from our Japanese teacher, Angela Roccasalva, when she goes on maternity leave at the end of Week 1 next term.
