A Message from the Principal

Welcome to the Viewbank Primary School website. We hope you find the information it contains helpful. Should there be anything about the school that you wish to clarify or discuss further, please do not hesitate to phone me, contact me via the school's email address, or come in for a chat.

The staff and parents of Viewbank Primary School have a strong commitment to creating a school environment which values caring for each other, respect and responsibility. We are also focused on enhancing the strong partnership between the home and school. We strive to develop each individual child's potential in all curriculum areas. We also emphasise the development of resilience in children through participation in a myriad of experiences promoting confidence, persistence, organisation, and getting along.

Term One ends tomorrow, Friday, April 4 at 2.30pm, preceded by a whole school assembly in the gym commencing at 2.15pm. Over the holiday break, we are very hopeful that the new portable will be painted, carpeted and generally refurbished in readiness for its occupation by the Japanese program at the start of Term 2. We are also hopeful that the rotunda will be relocated in the Grade 3 and 4 playground during the holiday break. With our painter on deck doing his usual holiday maintenance painting, and our cleaner on deck as well the school will be a hive of activity! Nevertheless, if anyone sees anything unusual happening in the grounds over the break (especially within the confines of the school fences and outside of normal business hours) please feel free to ring Heidelberg Police on 9450 8000 or Emergency Management on 9589 6266. School resumes for Term 2 on Tuesday, April 22.
