The staff and parents of Viewbank Primary School have a strong commitment to creating a school environment which values caring for each other, respect and responsibility. We are also focused on enhancing the strong partnership between the home and school. We strive to develop each individual child's potential in all curriculum areas. We also emphasise the development of resilience in children through participation in a myriad of experiences promoting confidence, persistence, organisation, and getting along.
The teaching staff, organised into cooperative teams, is committed to providing quality programs for all students and becoming lifelong learners themselves through high participation in professional development. The school community takes great pride in the friendly, co-operative and supportive spirit between teachers and staff, the depth of the curriculum and the quality of teaching. Learning is nurtured in a supportive environment that promotes success for all. There is an emphasis on students developing positive attitudes towards learning as well as feelings of self worth.
Parent and community involvement in the school is very highly valued. As well as School Council and its committees, parents play a valued role in curriculum programs, uniform shop, canteen, working bees and special events. At all times we are inspired by our school motto - love of learning, learning for life.
